![]() The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging and the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Health Care System (SF VAHCS) are jointly seeking an academic radiologist who is trained in a focused sub-specialty for a faculty position. The selected candidate will be appointed at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the Clinical X, in-Residence, or HS Clinical series depending on qualifications and interests.
Faculty at UCSF and the SF VAMC are expected to develop a clinical or more basic research program in the area of one's specialty focus. Responsibilities include clinical service, teaching, and research. The selected candidate will supervise and teach residents, fellows, and medical students. Obligations will include clinical work, which will be primarily at the SF VA Medical Center, with some time also at the Moffitt/Long Hospital, Mt. Zion Hospital, China Basin Outpatient Facility, Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, and/or Mission Bay Hospital, all of which are affiliated teaching, clinical and research facilities of UCSF.
The position requires an MD degree (or equivalent), ability to practice medicine in California, and completion of fellowship training in an imaging sub-specialty by the start date of the faculty appointment. Applicants are expected to be board certified (or eligible) in Radiology. Applicant's materials must list (pending) qualifications upon application submission. The requirements are to be met by the time of the faculty appointment start date.
