The FDA’s Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH) is responsible for protecting and promoting public health by performing essential public health tasks by making sure that medical devices and radiological health products are safe for people in the United States. Within the organization, Physicians of all specialties support the mission and provide critical clinical knowledge to the many offices of CDRH including the Office of Product Evaluation and Quality and the Office of Strategic Partnerships and Technology Innovation. As a Physician, you would support the administration of health programs through providing clinical insights or rationale regarding medical services, devices, and/or diagnostic methods. Applicants should possess experience with medical devices and excellent communication skills. Summary of Duties: Depending on the CDRH office, Physicians may perform some or all of the following duties:

Basic Qualifications: In order to be eligible for the position of Physician, (GP-0602-14), you must meet ALL of the following requirements by the closing date:
NOTE: You must provide a copy of your Doctor of Medicine transcripts (unofficial), foreign equivalency, or ECFMG results with your application to document that you have met the education requirement. Failure to do so will result in you being rated ineligible for this position. Your transcripts must show completion/conferred date. Unofficial transcripts will be accepted in the application package. Official transcripts will be required prior to your starting work. Licensure: Applicant must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
