Software Developer

JOB SUMMARY

The Software Developer develops high-level applications forthe System, including design, implementation and testing of applications.Provides an advanced level of technical expertise and product knowledge toensure successful implementation and support. Provides full leadership inproject implementations. Works with users in support of businessapplications/specifications.

WHAT IS EXPECTED (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

• Builds, implements and tests new applications, upgrades,enhancements, database designs, and performs maintenance to ensure systemcompatibility
• Ensures appropriate integration of new applications orprojects with existing technical environment
• Trains and assists in the development of personnel,encouraging cross-training efforts to build team technical skill sets
• Establishes technical standards and guidelines for effectiveprogramming
• Verifies that user manuals are kept current
• Maintains expert knowledge of current technology
• Works closely with Development and Support teams to deliverhigh quality solutions
• Design new software applications
• Composes technical documentation for development and supportprocesses
• Meets with customers and works with the Business Analysts tocreate software requirements, architecture, testing plan, and releasedocumentation

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Demonstrated understanding and usage of object-orienteddesign principles
• Proven team-oriented developer with demonstrated ability todeliver quality solutions on time
• Prior participation in an entire product development lifecycle
• Solid experience with C# and .NET technologies XML/XSLTSQLServer 2000/2005/2008, SQL and T-SQL comprehension Visual Studio2003/2005/2008 development
• Experience developing windows forms and windows servicessolutions
• Strong written and verbal skills MSF Agile or CMMI process

PREFERENCES AND EQUIVALENCIES

• Experience with any of the following a plus:
• Solid SharePoint 2007 (MOSS) development experience
• Experience with BizTalk
• Microsoft Visio and Office Solution development
• Experience upgrading legacy solutions to current version of.NET UML and other modeling techniques Healthcare standards and regulatory requirements
