Neurocritical Care Intensivist

Christiana Care Health System is recruiting a BE/BC neurocritical care intensivist to join our existing team of four hospital employed neurocritical care intensivists. The 18-bed Neurocritical Care unit is located in our Newark campus (906 licensed beds) and offers state-of-the-art facilities. The successful candidate will collaborate with a team of thirteen advanced practice nurse practitioners and physician assistants to provide the highest quality evidence-based care to our patients.

ChristianaCare is a Joint Commission certified Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level 1 trauma center with a large volume of patients requiring high acuity care. The neurocritical care team works closely with the hospital's seven neurosurgeons and four neurointerventional radiologists to provide comprehensive care to patients with severe neurological injury. This is a high quality, rapidly growing program that offers reasonable call, teaching opportunities and patient diversity. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to treat a large, diverse patient population as part of a team of collaborative, friendly, knowledgeable providers.
