Location Address: Daytona Beach, FL

Travel as a float receptionist between practices is required.

Work Hours/Shift:
Full Time, Monday-Friday.

You Will Be Responsible For:
  • Is primarily responsible for answering the telephone following established procedures
  • Schedules, cancels, reschedules, etc. appointment as requested
  • Registers patients, entering demographics and insurance information into Impac, Meditech.
  • Retrieves charts and paperwork from the physicians offices and distributes to appropriate area in the department.  Retrieves up and sorts incoming mail and distributes appropriately.  Delivers outgoing mail to the mailroom bins on a daily basis.  Retrieves mail from the physicians mail boxes.
  • Effectively and politely communicates with patient and families.  Anticipates problems and recognizes negative situations.  Notifies manager or physician when necessary
  • Effectively and politely communicates with patient and families.  
  • Maintains reception area in neat order
Qualifications
What You Will Need:

  • High school graduation or equivalent required.
  • Computer proficiency required.
  • Knowledge of small office equipment; copier/fax/calculator
Job Summary:
 

The Office Assistant/Patient Biller represents the practice in the coordination of all patient/physician encounters. This position is responsible for making certain that the physicianâ™s time is appropriately utilized and patientâ™s needs are met. This position is also responsible for performing receptionist/clerical duties. These duties are to be performed with a minimum of supervision for patients of adult and geriatric ages.
