Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center Location: US:PA:Hershey Work Type: Full Time FTE: 1.0 Shift: Days Recruiter Contact: Jenna Spangler at jspangler2@pennstatehealth.psu.edu JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Director, Emergency Management and Business Continuity, the position will be responsible and accountable for program management, clinical operations, performance measurement, and staff and public education for special pathogen preparedness. The position will manage the preparedness, readiness and implementation of the special pathogens program for the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and academic practice division. Serve as a subject matter expert for the medical center's pandemic planning and plan a key role in the plan development and maintenance. Ensure appropriate preparation and support of program components including equipment and supplies, staff, clinical unit(s) and treatment areas, maintenance, sustainment and implementation of the special pathogens plan and management of the grant resources. Ensure coordination and communication with HMC clinical and support services including nursing, infectious diseases, infection prevention EVS, S&D, Safety, IT, Facilities and others. Maintain program compliance with the DOH grant as well as CDC and other guidelines (e.g. NETEC). The position will also interface with local, state, federal and partner facilities to plan for and test program implementation on a set schedule. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
