Assistant Professor Family Medicine, Crozet Medical Center (Charlottesville, VA)
The Department of Family Medicine at the University of Virginia Health Systems is seeking candidates for a full-time tenure-ineligible Assistant Professor position. The successful candidate may be eligible to convert to tenure-track at an appropriate time in the future, consistent with SOM Promotion and Tenure guidelines and candidate qualifications. This position will provide outpatient care at our Western Albemarle practice, located in Crozet, VA, a thriving community in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The incumbent will be responsible for direct patient care 7 half day outpatient sessions/week, assigned inpatient weeks and obstetrics call (if applicable), and teaching and supervision of residents and medical students.
Qualified candidates must have an MD or DO and be board-certified or board-eligible by either the American Board of Family Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians by the start date. Preference will be given to candidates who practice obstetrics, have experience with care of hospitalized patients, those with procedural or POCUS experience, and have residency teaching experience.
