Director, Data Management (Dallas, TX)

The Enterprise, Director of Data Management is responsible for the design, build and operation of Tenet Healthcare data platforms ecosystem. This leader will maintain accountability for the structure and integrity of information that is maintained within enterprise systems and platforms. Define the vision, strategy, principles and processes that guide the purchase, design and deployment of Tenet�s next generation data platform technology, assuring that solutions meet business requirements while aligning with long-term enterprise architectural goals and integrating seamlessly across multiple platforms, systems and business segments.

Tenet�s data platform and environments include data from the clinical, operational, financial, procurement, and corporate functions. The incumbent will bring a strategic, tactical and customer-focused vision with the accompanying leadership to transform Tenet�s platform into a modern data platform that is scalable, efficient and effective. Leading the development and execution of the data capability vision will require a deep technical understanding of databases, data technology, ETL and data transformation, master data management, healthcare data structures, reporting, analytics, and domain business/clinical knowledge.

Required:

• Domain knowledge in areas of Big Data, Operational Databases, Analytics platforms, Data products, Data Governance, Privacy, and Security
• Experience in cloud and software as a service model for infrastructure and data management platforms
• Experience with various forms of data structures â�� relational, non-relational, flat file, network, object oriented, NoSQL, data marts, cubes, OLTP, OLAP, Data Lake, Big data, unstructured and document data
• Experience supervising and directing people and other resources to achieve specific end results within limited timeframes
• Performs as an advocate within the organization by presenting and socializing the current and new capabilities being built and how they can unlock growth opportunities for different functions within the organization
• Bachelorâ��s Degree required; BSCS, BSEE or equivalent

Preferred:

• Experience working in a matrixed environment preferred
• Thorough working knowledge of lean and agile development processes with a proven track record in using these
• Experience dealing with PHI and PII data classifications and regulations
• MSCS or MBA preferred
