Description Vanderbilt University Medical Center Division of Animal Care Internship/Summer Work Program The Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) Division of Animal Care (DAC) Internship/Summer Work Program is designed to be an introduction to Laboratory Animal Husbandry for current undergraduate students pursuing studies in animal science, agriculture, zoology, biology, or other related fields. In addition to providing care for common laboratory animal models, interns will also learn about comparative pathology, veterinary medicine in a research setting, and the regulatory requirements related to the care of laboratory animals.
