The Department of Surgery is recruiting for a trauma surgeon at the assistant professor level to work at Grady Memorial Hospital as well as conduct basic and translational science research in the area of trauma and acute care surgery. Experience should include board certification in general surgery and critical care medicine, a fellowship in trauma and/or critical care medicine. Research experience should include working in a basic or translational science lab as a physician scientist or participating in a lab as a research or fellow on funded research for greater than 2 years. Clinical responsibilities include trauma, emergency general surgery and surgical critical care coverage at Grady Memorial Hospitals Marcus Trauma Center, an ACS verified Level I T
