Overview
Newton Medical Center Atlantic Health System is seeking a part time Cardiac Nurse Practitioner. This benefits eligible postition is Mon-Fri beginning at 7AM. Come join our amazing team!
Responsibilities

- Candidate will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served. Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.
- Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job.
- Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills.
- Independently Round on inpatients.
- Assess clinical Condition/trajectory for escalation of care.
- Corrdinate care with all other disciplines.
- Provide education for staff/families/patients.
- Provide education to nursing team working with cardiac patients.
- Develop and implement plan to reduce readmissions in collaboration with providers and transitions of care team.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
Minimum Education
License/Certification:
- NJ State RN Licensure, BLS, ACLS, and Advanced Practice Nurse certification required
Relevant Experience:
- 5 years of cardiac nursing experience strongly preferred
