Description
The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism invites applications for Associate Director of Endocrinology and Division Director of Translational Research at NYU Langone Health at the Associate or Professor level. This person would direct the clinical and translational research efforts across the Division’s teaching hospitals, which include Tisch Hospital, the Manhattan VA, and Bellevue Hospital as well as NYULH-Brooklyn and NYULH-Long Island (formerly Winthrop Hospital).
The Division has internationally known programs in diabetes cardiovascular complications, lipid metabolism, and the RAGE pathway of inflammation. It is the home to two American Heart Association Strategically Focused Research Networks (obesity and cardiometabolic disease), a Program Project Grant in RAGE biology, and numbers of other NIH-funded research projects.
Qualifications
To qualify, candidates must have an MD or MD/PhD degree and be board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism. Current NIH funding is required. Experience in either translational investigative studies or clinical trials in diabetes is preferable but not required.
