Position Summary
This position is responsible for managing the Family Finance Business Office operations including Customer Service and aligning/coordinating functions related to Family Finance across the PCH enterprise. This position is a primary contributor to the development and implementation of a comprehensive program designed to ensure the patient/family financial experience from end-to-end is positive, family-centered, accessible and accurate. This position also oversees all processes/functions, including those performed by vendor partner(s), related to family billing, statements and collection of guarantor liability. Serves as a subject matter expert in Family Finance and serves as a resource to ensure consistency in philosophy and approach throughout the organization.
Education
- Bachelors Degree in Business or related field (Required)
- Masters Degree in Business or related field (Preferred)
Experience
- Seven (7) or more years of experience leading Revenue Cycle Management functions related to Family Finance. (Required)
- Five (5) or more years of managerial experience in an acute care hospital. (Required)
- Five (5) or more years of experience in managing self-pay collections. (Required)
- Pediatric experience (Preferred)
Certifications
- ACA Credit and Collection Professional Certification (Preferred)
- HFMA CRCR or CFPB Certification (Preferred)
Special Skills
- Deep knowledge of functions across the revenue cycle related to patient/family cost sharing and liability. (Required)
- Strong knowledge of the financial aspects of third party payers and reimbursement. (Required)
- Extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements related to patient liability and debt collection practices. (Required)
- Critical thinking analytical expertise. (Required)
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. (Required)
- Moderate to expert computer skills. (Preferred)
