Child Abuse and Intervention Department (CAID) Physician -Tacoma WAMary Bridge Children's (MB), a member of the MultiCare System, is seeking a full-time Child Abuse pediatrician.About the PositionThe physician will provide clinical care services for our CAID patient population. You will work closely with other Providers.Specific Responsibilities
Medical direction for the department programs to include the following: Sexual Assault Intervention Department, Physical Abuse Intervention Department, Child Abuse Intervention Team, Foster Care Assessment Program and Child Advocacy Center (CAC) of Pierce County
Support Direction and integration of the CAID with other MB departments in collaboration with administrative dyad leader
Clinical practice of Child Abuse Pediatrics at MBCH including inpatient consultations and outpatient child maltreatment evaluations
Support Development and application of medical standards, protocols and/or pathways to enhance the quality of patient care
Support Development of Provider and CAID QI monitors and follow up with the MB medical staff, referral facilities/agencies and community interaction, especially with the Child Advocacy Center of Pierce County (CAC)
Support Oversight of Quality Improvement activities of CAID to ensure that the quality and appropriateness of patient care are monitored and evaluated and that appropriate actions based on findings are taken on a consistent basis
Support Oversight of CAID compliance with regulatory guidelines including those required for Joint Commission, and CAC Accreditation
