Job Summary:
The Manager/Specialist is responsible for supporting centralized fundraising functions for the WMCHealth foundations, including direct response, third-party giving, point-of-sale campaigns, planned giving communications and implementation, events, and corporate outreach and sponsorship efforts ("Program Initiatives"). This position reports to the Director, Central Strategic Initiatives.
Responsibilities:
* Under the leadership of the Director, Central Strategic Initiatives, collaborate with the Foundation team to support execution of pipeline development activities including, but not limited to, annual appeal, leadership & employee giving, 3rd party giving, and special events to promote the overarching goals of the Network and the Development function. Support the drafting and development of program and service-line focused informational, marketing and solicitation materials under the guidance of Foundation colleagues and in collaboration with the Marketing function.* Supports the execution, implementation and evaluation of the direct response solicitation program (including mail and online), designed to identify and build a broad base of regular donors, retain, and increase donor renewals, increase frequency of giving, and upgrade gift levels of regular direct mail donors. * Prospects, solicits and stewards 3rd party fundraisers in the community including maintenance of customized fundraising websites.* Supports the implementation of fundraising programs with major corporations and businesses in the Hudson Valley, including events, and separately securing partnerships, that support the Network Foundations' strategic plan and other organizational priorities. * Assists in building and managing the Network-wide calendar of events and initiatives ensuring oversight and management of Program Initiatives. * Interacts regularly with all members of the Network Foundation team to ensure consistent vision, message, and expectations for system wide implementation of Program Initiatives while monitoring and evaluating the progress of areas of responsibility. * Supports the work of building a robust communications plan for the Program Initiatives across the WMCHealth Network foundations, including a unified brand for all collateral pieces associated with the Program Initiatives. Under the leadership of the Director, Central Strategic Initiatives, supports the comprehensive media strategy including social media, website, newsletters, and mail to promote the Program Initiatives.* Under the direction of the Director, Special Events, support the work of the Events team in building, promoting and executing Network-sponsored events. Assists in developing, tracking, analyzing, and reporting on relevant data and metrics for all Program Initiatives.* Participation in regular Foundation team meetings. * Support the logistics, planning and execution of donor presentation and appreciation events. * Attends events/special functions as appropriate.* Collaborate with WMCHealth colleagues in the development of programs, events, and recognitions for donors and development campaigns. * Ensure best practices identified are recognized and shared with the larger team. Ensure HIPAA compliance in the implementation of the program.* Remain current in fundraising techniques by attending philanthropy meetings and conferences that provide advanced training opportunities.* As necessary, assists with staffing a variety of volunteer leadership groups in conjunction with development department colleagues.* Adhere to Foundation policies and procedures.* Perform other duties and special projects as required.* Support mission and vision of Westchester Medical Center Health Network.* Other Duties as Assigned: Complete all other assigned duties and projects in a timely fashion.Qualifications/Requirements:
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the implementation of key areas in foundation operations such as annual giving, corporate and foundation fundraising, sponsorships, relationship management, events, and stewardship, required. Advanced IT/computer skills required. Salesforce experience preferred.
Education:
BA degree.
Licenses / Certifications:
Certified Funding Raising Executive, preferred.
