Job Description
Postdoctoral fellow positions are available in the group of Dr. Xiaolan Zhao at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK). Our lab integrates multidisciplinary approaches to study genome maintenance processes that are intimately linked to tumorigenesis, viral infection, neurological diseases, and aging syndromes. We aim to define new mechanisms underlying genome replication, homologous recombination, the DNA damage response, and chromosomal structures.
Our lab is a leader in the above research areas and offers a nurturing research environment. Our broad research scope provides lab members ample opportunities to explore and discover new biological principles. Training and mentoring are tailored to individuals and are provided at multiple levels, aiming to advance research abilities, grant and paper writing skills, and leadership qualities. Former trainees from the lab have thrived as lab heads in academics and as leaders in biotech companies and non-profit organizations. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about science and motivated to make impactful discoveries in a collaborative and fun environment.
