The Division of Complex Health Care at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and the Department of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine is actively seeking a qualified Pediatrician or Med-Peds Physician to join our team.
The Division provides primary and specialty care to children and adults with neurologic disability and complex needs. Our service is holistic, coordinated, continuous, family-centered, and aims to improve health outcomes by reducing fragmentation of care. The Division includes the Complex Health Care Clinic, the Comprehensive Cerebral Palsy Program, the Interdisciplinary Feeding and Swallowing Program, and a primary inpatient service.
The successful candidate will join an expanding division that consists of an interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurse practitioners, social workers, dieticians, pharmacists, care coordinators, and nurses. We are particularly interested in candidates who desire to do both inpatient and outpatient work. Opportunity exists to explore participation in any of the outpatient programs, with an expected focus on the Complex Healthcare Program.
Research, quality improvement, and education are core activities of the department. We sponsor a fellowship in complex care. Our program is the lead site for the Cerebral Palsy Research Network. We are actively involved in improving the care for all children in Ohio through our Accountable Care Organization, Partners for Kids.
Candidates must be BC/BE in Pediatrics with other specialists and graduating residents welcome to apply. Academic rank is open and commensurate with experience. Candidates must have excellent communication skills, be able to think critically, have a strong medical background to provide outstanding medical care, and understand the importance of teamwork.
