Nemours is seeking a Director, Strategic Initiative Management (SIM).
In this fast-paced role you will join a dynamic team that oversees strategy execution. This person will work closely with an internal team of strategists and portfolio managers, as well as with regional and enterprise executives to support execution of a bold, transformational strategy. The Director manages Strategic Initiative Management (SIM) for the enterprise. Working closely with the SIM Chairs, including VPs & SVPs of Finance, Business Development, Compliance, and Transformation, they will support the development & implementation for operational and strategic initiatives in support of Nemours' vision, goals and strategies. They will develop and manage systems and processes for intake, prioritization, and tracking metrics and return on investment leveraging our Continuous Improvement principles.
The person will collaborate with and influence key leaders to achieve Nemours' vision and drive strategies supporting the organization's mission. They will collaborate with internal stakeholders to define priorities and advance initiatives through vetting, decisioning, implementation, and lookback. They will support leaders as they develop proof of concept and business plans, proformas, and metrics. They will collaborate with internal stakeholders to make initiatives visible and align cross-department efforts, defining financial requirements, facilitating effective stakeholder communications, and providing guidance, project direction, and leadership to ensure successful outcomes.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage a comprehensive, enterprise-wide Strategic Initiative Management infrastructure, including systems, processes, and governance.
- Provide comprehensive business planning coaching and support to analyze feasibility and value of potential initiatives, provide visibility to the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of those initiatives, incorporating CI methodologies and concepts to ensure continuous improvement in service delivery.
- Consult and advise organizational leaders and guide preparation for SIM committee meetings, initiative vetting, and lookbacks on performance.
- Closely align with operational and corporate finance through the annual business planning and budget cycle, ensuring that every initiative has documented performance metrics and a proforma.
- Engage the shared services organization in leveraging organizational capabilities in support of operational and strategic priorities.
- Ensure that strategies and operational project comply with necessary business processes per organizational policy and best practice, including RFP / fair bidding, legal review, etc.
- Proactively identify, escalate, and resolve issues that may impact the successful execution of the initiatives and attainment of organizational goals.
- Establish reliable procedures, reporting tools and dashboards intended to evaluate actual results against expected costs and benefits, project status and congruence with strategic goals and objectives.

- Ability to teach and coach, demonstrate sound communication while maintaining flexibility, composure, and a good sense of humor.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred
- At least 5 years experience in Strategic Management
- Experience with MS Office 365, Service Now, SmartSheets or other strategy management applications
