Manage one or more defined areas of nursing services through which assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care are provided. Allocate available resources to promote efficient, effective, safe, and compassionate nursing care based on current standards of practice. Coordinate activities between defined areas and provide clinical and administrative leadership and expertise. Accountable for the environment in which clinical nursing is practiced such that recruitment and retention of nurses is enhanced. Responsible for the implementation of the mission, vision, values and standards of the organization and nursing services within their defined area of responsibility.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a bachelor's degree in nursing required. Current, valid registration to practice in the State of Texas is required. Master's degree in nursing or related field preferred. Certification in a nursing specialty and/or nursing administration is required within 2 years of appointment.
2 years clinical experience
1 year of management or supervisory experience in an appropriate clinical area
Personal computer, calculator, fax, copier.
