The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is recruiting a general cardiologist to teach and provide clinical cardiology services in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. The ideal candidate will be expected to participate in all aspects of the general cardiology programs at the University of Maryland Medical Center (downtown and midtown campuses) and other ambulatory sites. Expected faculty rank is Assistant Professor or higher on a clinician-educator track, however, final rank, tenure status, and salary will be commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience. This position requires a MD degree from a recognized accredited university (or foreign equivalent) and candidates must be eligible for an unrestricted Maryland medical license, be board certified in internal medicine and board certified/board eligible in cardiovascular medicine. The individual we seek will have fellowship training in cardiology and will demonstrate potential for excellence in clinical care and teaching. Expertise in echocardiography, including TEE and stress echo, as well as board certification in echocardiography from ACE would be highly beneficial.
