Denver Health, in Denver, Colorado, is recruiting for pediatricians in Ambulatory Care Services to work as general staff and in a float capacity. Both full time and part time opportunities are available.
Denver Health operates 3 large pediatric community health center clinics,19 school-based health centers (including their co-located behavioral health staff), a variety of community/public health programs overseen by the department (including the mobile health units), nurse family partnership, the community health immunization program, and the SAFE center for children who have suffered from abuse or neglect. The department also provides academic mentorship for outpatient pediatricians working in our pediatric clinics. The department as a whole consists of 75 providers (half of whom are advanced practice providers), a total of 207 staff, and a budget of $45 million to advance the health and wellbeing of our pediatric patients in the Denver metro area. Denver Health provides Level I care for all, regardless of ability to pay and is a model for other safety net institutions across the nation. As Colorado’s primary safety net institution, Denver Health is the leading provider of underserved care in the state of Colorado.
Pediatricians provide primary medical care for infants, children, and teenagers and help chart their growth towards adulthood in the outpatient setting. They diagnose and treat a range of ailments in young people including providing direct patient care and coordinating with specialists and other providers to treat patients.
Pediatricians work at various clinics and locations at Denver Health. We currently have two positions available:
One Pediatrician float position: designed to work at multiple sites including pediatric clinics and as the pediatrician in family medicine clinics as needed.
One Pediatrician Position at Denver Health Peña Clinic located in Southwest Denver.

Pediatricians at Denver Health have a co-appointment in the University of Colorado School of Medicine at the level of Instructor. Academic pursuit is encouraged but not required beyond Instructor and promotions follow matrices developed by the School of Medicine. Pediatricians have the opportunity to be involved with medical education by working with medical students and residents.
