The Department of Pediatrics at Emory University and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta are seeking an outstanding physician to join the Division of Rheumatology.
The candidate will join our group of six pediatric rheumatologists, and one basic science faculty. The Division has a fully funded 3-year ACGME accredited Pediatric Rheumatology fellowship.
Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is a top ranked children's hospital with state-of-the art clinical and research facilities and excellent subspecialty staffing. It provides the majority pediatric tertiary care for metro Atlanta and North Georgia. At Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, more than 460 Emory University School of Medicine faculty cover more than 22 specialties.
Our division has active research endeavors in the genetics and epidemiology of JIA, Uveitis, SLE and JDM, and in outcome measures in childhood uveitis, as well as basic science research in immunology and cytokine biology. We have a musculoskeletal ultrasound program. We actively participate in CARRA. Emory has a dynamic adult rheumatology faculty with whom we share a very collaborative relationship including weekly rheumatology grand rounds. The adult rheumatology program also has strong research programs in B cell biology and clinical, basic and translational research in SLE.

The candidate must be board certified or eligible in pediatric rheumatology and qualify for licensure in Georgia. This position will be at the Assistant Professor level and will offer opportunities primarily in the areas of clinical service and teaching. Responsibilities primarily include patient care and teaching and participate in clinical and translational research activities in the division.
Compensation for this position will be commensurate with experience.
