The Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG) proudly provides the highest quality integrated care for over 800,000 members in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. We invite applications for a Geneticist at our Tyson’s Corner Medical Center. This is a full-time shareholder-track position.
What You Can Expect:
Provide care across all three regions: Washington, DC, Suburban Maryland, Northern Virginia, and Baltimore
Provide care, genetic evaluation, and counseling for patients with lysosomal storage disorders, increasing care provided within the system
Provide care for patients from newborn throughout the lifespan
Provide newborn screening follow-up and care coordination
Provide support to the genetic counselors who provide the majority of prenatal and cancer genetic counseling
Work mostly remote, with 1 or 2 days on-site
Minimum Requirements:
MD or DO
Board Certified or Eligible in Medical Geneticist
Board Certified or Eligible in Clinical Biochemical Genetics or Medical Biochemical Genetics preferred
Experience with newborn screening and management of lysosomal storage disorders, preferred
Currently licensed or able to obtain licenses in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia
