We are hiring a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our collegial Hematology Oncology team! This is an academic practice with a dynamic science-based environment, clinical innovation, and statewide draw.
Full Time, Day Shift
No call or weekends
90% outpatient, 10% inpatient
Work directly with 5-10 physicians and 5 other APPs
Practice at the IU Health Schwarz Cancer Center at IU North Hospital in Carmel, IN
Care for patients with Hematology Oncology diseases as well as patients requiring infused medications
See urgent and scheduled outpatient visits both in clinic and virtually
Assist inpatient APPs as needed
Monitoring infusion patients for reactions
Outpatient history and physical examination, laboratory and imaging review are ongoing components of this role
Monitoring for adverse effects of therapy and evaluating emerging symptoms in collaboration with supervising physician
Thorough documentation and billing in a timely manner are required
Candidate must be Board Eligible or Board Certified
Master’s Degree required
Accepting ACNPs, FNPs, and PAs
Open to new graduates with applicable clinical rotations and/or RN experience in Oncology
Experience with infusion centers preferred
Ideal candidates are comfortable working independently and have a strong desire to learn
