Phoenix Children’s Hospital is looking for a strong Periop Services Manager to lead our outpatient Aerodigestive team, as well as a small surgery center. This unique position will be responsible for leading approximately 80 FTE’s, with 6 direct reports. The ideal candidate will be self-driven, with the ability to work independently, and be able to drive results in managing 6 OR’s, 2 endoscopy rooms, and 2 procedure rooms. Must have the ability to work in a very dynamic environment that is constantly changing due to the growth of the hospital. This role will be developing staff, managing blocks, working independently on a variety of projects that will impact all of Periop Services. Our ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, and the desire to build upon our success and take the team to the next level of excellence. And, the best part of this unit, is that it is a M - F, NO holidays, weekends or call!!!
The Manager, Clinical Service promotes family-centered care by subscribing to and supporting Phoenix Children’s mission and values. This position manages, evaluates and supervises operational functions and activities of an assigned area by guiding and supporting staff. The Manager, Clinical Service also serves as a liaison with other departments to plan, implement, communicate, evaluate and coordinate patient care operations across the enterprise, while also facilitating quick resolution of issues to ensure excellence in a family centered care environment.
Bachelor’s in Nursing. (Required)
Master’s degree in related field. (Preferred)
Five years of experience in the specialty area or with a pediatric patient population to include leadership and / or supervisory responsibilities. (Required)
Current AZ RN license or an RN license from a compact state with multistate privileges or the ability to establish licensure to Arizona law prior to start date. (Required)
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association. (Required)
PALS certification from the American Heart Association within one year of hire. (Preferred)
National nursing or related certification (e.g. CPN, CCRN, CNML) (Preferred)
Analytical and statistical skills necessary to develop and monitor unit operating and personnel budgets. (Required)
Demonstrates critical thinking and problem solving abilities in order to resolve complex clinical, systems and personnel problems and issues which affect the unit and inpatient departments (Required)
