Atlantic Health System is Seeking a Neurocritical Care Physician in Northern New Jersey

The Department of Neuroscience within Atlantic Health System is growing, and we are seeking a fellowship trained Neurocritical Care Physician to play an integral role in the expansion of our Neurocritical Care Division. This exciting opportunity supports both Overlook Medical Center and Morristown Medical Center, two prominent medical facilities at the forefront of innovation. Both Overlook and Morristown Medical Center are poised to unveil state-of-the-art Neurocritical Care units, equipped with the latest technologies. The incoming Neurocritical Care Physician will join an accomplished team of 22 Neurologists and other advanced practice clinicians. Overlook Medical Center and Morristown Medical Center's Department of Neuroscience already boasts a well-established neurosurgical section, a comprehensive stroke center, and is a thrombectomy-capable center. This role presents a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a diverse patient population, contributing significantly to the well-being of our community.

The ideal candidate will have successfully completed an accredited neurocritical care fellowship and have experience treating inpatients with complex neurocritical care disorders. The candidate will encompass pivotal responsibilities such as ventilator and airway management, administration of vasoactive, analgesic, and sedative medications, and have experience managing a range of hemorrhagic stroke cases. The selected candidate will cultivate strong relationships with referring physicians and seamlessly integrate with our existing staff physicians to fortify the cohesion of the Neurocritical Care Division.
