SUMMARY OF POSITION:
We are currently seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner to manage and coordinate overnight care in the ICU for Cardiac Thoracic post-surgery patients from 7p-7a. The ideal candidate needs to have the ability to manage high-acuity patients and can prioritize care based on each patient's needs, be detailed oriented and maintain an open line of communication, and model a collaborative, professional relationship with all staff. Works in an inpatient critical care area that also provides mechanical circulatory support. The Nurse Practitioner should be proficient in Chest Tube Placement, Thoracentesis and Paracentesis, Central Line placement and management; A-lines, Swans, IABP management, CRRT management, and Ventilator management. An Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner degree is required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
Master?s degree in Nursing
Currently licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner by State of employment
Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
Basic Life Support (BLS)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
ICU critical care experience
Two (2) years experience as a Nurse Practitioner
Two (2) years experience as a RN
