Job Description
The largest of MSK's clinical departments, the Department of Medicine encompasses experts in solid tumor oncology, hematologic malignancies, subspecialty medicine and supportive and acute care services. Offering a range of services both in multiple sites in New York City and at their suburban outpatient locations in our Regional Care Network (RCN), DoM physicians oversee the care of the whole patient.

Role Overview:
The Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition Service in the Department of Medicine at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is seeking a full-time advanced endoscopist with specialized training in ERCP, EUS, and endoscopic submucosal dissection. The applicant must be ABIM-certified or eligible in Gastroenterology (or have equivalent international certification) and have completed dedicated training in advanced endoscopy. This endoscopist will work with our existing team of 16 gastroenterologists and will work in close collaboration with our surgical oncologists and other members of our multidisciplinary disease management teams. Academic appointment at Memorial Sloan Kettering will be commensurate with experience, training, and achievements.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Clinically evaluate and manage patients with a wide range of gastroenterological conditions on the inpatient and outpatient clinical service.
- In the outpatient clinical setting, primarily focus on evaluation for and performance of general and advanced endoscopic procedures.
- Advance our research mission of discovery and innovation in advanced endoscopy as it applies to endoscopic oncology.
- Candidates can participate as principal investigators or co-investigators on grants or contracts by competing for internal or external research awards to advance our research efforts related to endoscopic oncology.
- Contribute to the teaching and research missions including supervising gastroenterology fellows, medical residents, medical students and advance practice providers.
- Participate in educational and quality assurance activities.
- Serve on institutional and service committees.
Requirements Include:
- MD., D.O., or equivalent with excellent clinical, communication and team skills.
- Board eligible or board certified in Gastroenterology.
- New York and/or New Jersey State license eligible.
- Certification in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Child Abuse Identification & Reporting.
Salary: $140,000 - $590,000
Physician compensation is based on multiple variables. This range represents annual salary only and does not include supplemental performance-based pay or any one-time payments that eligible candidates may be offered at the time of hire.
