Job Description:
The Inova Schar Heart and Vascular is seeking a board certified/eligible Non-Invasive Cardiologist.

Inova Schar Heart and Vascular Eastern Region seeks an experienced, board certified/eligible, non-invasive cardiologist to work clinically full-time at its outpatient office in our Eastern Region with Inpatient rounding at our Inova Alexandria Hospital and Inova Mount Vernon Hospital. This physician will further develop a growing clinical practice that drives volume for Inova's cardiac diagnostic and imaging center and will take call at both locations.

Inova Non-Invasive Program Highlights:

Inpatient Coverage: Inova Alexandria Hospital and Inova Mount Vernon Hospitals with APP coverage at both hospitals

Opportunities to cover inpatient, CCU and echo services at Fairfax hospital

Outpatient Imaging responsibilities: 2-3 reading days a month, 15-20 echos and 5 nuclear studies per day

Call: approximately 10 weekends per year and 2-3 weeknight call coverages per month

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited institution. Board eligible or board certified in Virginia.
• Experience: successful completion of residency program.
• Licensure: Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Virginia.
• Payer Credentialing: Ability to successfully complete the credentialing process by third-party payors and Ability to enrolled as a CMS Medicare/Medicaid payor
• Medical Staff Credentialing: Successful completion of credentialing for Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges sufficient to perform all required services
