We seek a board-certified or board-eligible surgeon with a focus on hepato-pancreato-biliary (HPB) surgery for a clinical track faculty position at the University of Michigan. The Division of Surgical Oncology is a collegial, dynamic group offering state-of-the-art care for patients with malignant and complex benign HPB conditions. The Department of Surgery at the University of Michigan, founded in 1850, is internationally recognized for excellence in patient care, research, and education. Our Department works closely with the University of Michigan Rogel Cancer Center, an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center widely acclaimed as a leader in clinical cancer care and research.
This recruitment is for a surgeon with a clinical interest and experience in HPB surgery, including minimally invasive approaches. Depending on candidate interest, the practice may also encompass other aspects of complex gastrointestinal and oncologic surgery. Requirements include completion of fellowship training (complex general surgical oncology, HPB surgery, transplant surgery, or equivalent) and interest in teaching residents and medical students. Although the primary focus of the candidate’s role will be clinical care, other interests such as research, education, and quality improvement can be accommodated. An appropriate leadership role can accompany the appointment depending on candidate interest and qualifications.
The candidate will join the Department of Surgery at an academic rank commensurate with the applicant’s credentials. If you are interested in joining us, please send your curriculum vitae to:
