Medical Director of Nocturnist Program
The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) Division of Hospital Medicine is seeking a physician (DO or MD or MD/PhD) to lead its program focused on overnight care of our medical oncology services. This role is ideal for candidates who thrive in multidisciplinary and collaborative environments with interests in developing a professional focus in the field of quality improvement, operational efficiency, and education in the context of a major academic medical system.
Reporting to the Medical Director of the Division of Oncology Hospital Medicine of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI), the Medical Director of the Nocturnist Program will partner with the Medical Director of Inpatient Oncology to provide oversight of overnight inpatient oncology operations. He/she will partner with other departmental and service line leaders to promote safe, efficient, and patient-centered care of oncology inpatients.
The position is based in Department of Medical Oncology at DFCI and includes collaboration with other institutions affiliated with the Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center and Harvard Medical School. The chosen candidate will have opportunities to oversee and teach house staff and APPs.
The academic appointment will be at the Instructor or Assistant Professor level at Harvard Medical School and determined by the applicant's credentials. Salary and benefits will be competitive with other institutions. Required credentials include an M.D. or D.O., and ABIM certification in Internal Medicine. Hematology-Oncology fellowship training preferred but not required.
