The Birmingham VAMC is seeking a board certified or board eligible gastroenterologist that will provide full spectrum gastroenterology coverage and care, with a focus on advanced and therapeutic endoscopy. This physician will provide comprehensive medical and specialty consultation services for both outpatients and inpatients at the Birmingham VAMC. The physician may be responsible for performing standard GI procedures such as upper endoscopy (EGD), colonoscopy and capsule endoscopy as needed. He/she will serve on committees, participate in quality assurance programs, and assist our facility to meet established performance measures.
