For over a century, St. Joseph's Medical Center has served the community with a tradition of leadership, quality, and compassionate care. This regional hospital has the only dedicated pediatric unit in San Joaquin County with future plans to expand to support our growing population. The graduate residency programs have expanded the family medicine and ER residencies, with recent accreditation of Neurology, Psychiatry and Anesthesiology.
Responsibilities include well baby nursery, inpatient pediatric floor, and ER consults. Coverage will be in a mix of 12-hour day and night shifts. The hospital already has a friendly and supportive neonatology group that covers the level III NICU and high-risk C-sections/deliveries. There is also amazing 24/7 telemedicine sub-specialty support available from nearby tertiary care Childrens Hospitals.

100% inpatient pediatric hospitalist position - covering well baby nursery, 10 inpatient pediatric beds, and ER consults.

Community Based Recruitment
This is an opportunity to join a community-based practice affiliated with Dignity Health. In many cases, providers will join an existing single-specialty or multi-specialty medical group (solo options are occasionally available). Physicians in an independent group tend to enjoy both the practice of medicine and the business side of health care. Some benefits of independent practice opportunities include:
Exposure to and ability to impact all aspects of business operations associated with your practice
Flexibility to adjust work/life balance to meet your personal and professional needs, since youre the one running the practice
Choice of joining an established practice or developing a new independent practice
