General Description of the Job Class
Contribute to the goals of the Neuroscience and Spine Service Line through the development and leadership of performance improvement activities in the operational and/or clinical areas. Assure continual compliance with quality and safety standards by facilitating projects to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Develop business cases and proposals to support strategic service line initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities of this Level
Project and Resource Management
- Plan activities aimed at improving operational and clinical performance.
- Identify opportunities for improved performance using data analysis to detect trends or concerns.
- Establish performance targets and design strategies to enhance performance.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of improvement strategies through ongoing monitoring.
- Manage multiple diverse projects simultaneously using strong prioritization and organizational skills.
- Support safety and quality metrics by monitoring performance and implementing improvement strategies.
Team Facilitation, Communication and Presentation Skills
- Lead and facilitate interdisciplinary teams, ensuring effective collaboration and structured progress toward performance improvement goals.
- Manage and guide work teams using performance improvement methodologies, fostering engagement and problem-solving.
- Communicate effectively with staff and stakeholders across diverse educational and professional backgrounds.
- Produce clear, compelling reports and presentations on performance improvement and compliance initiatives.
- Serve as an expert resource, explaining performance improvement and compliance concepts in a way that supports understanding and action.
- Support organizational learning by contributing to formal and informal professional development activities.
Data Analysis & Compliance Monitoring
- Analyze quality and safety metrics and processes to detect issues and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor compliance through formal and informal processes.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen compliance and implement solutions.
Professional Development
- Enhance knowledge through orientation, self-evaluation, and ongoing professional development.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Bachelor?s degree in a business or health-related field is required.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of work experience, including 3 years of experience with significant responsibility for performance/ process improvement. Experience leading work teams required.
Experience can be supplemented with a Master's degree, with a Master's being equivalent to two years of experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to communicate with customers/staff with diverse educational backgrounds
Analysis of data and processes for opportunities for improvement
Ability to manage numerous diverse projects simultaneously through effective priority setting, efficient use of time, organization
Knowledge of accreditation standards and regulations related to health care
Attention to detail and accuracy
Computer literacy
