Indiana University Health Medical Group Department of Neurology is recruiting a Neuromuscular Neurologist for an academic employment opportunity at Riley Hospital for Children and the IU Health Neuroscience Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. This position includes opportunity for research, if desired. Strong commitment to clinical reaching of fellows and residents is expected.
Employment Details:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
- Majority outpatient position with variable amount of inpatient duties per candidate preference
- Scheduled EMG/NCS sessions for pediatric and adult studies
- Mix of general child neurology and neuromuscular clinics
- EMG lab training with fellows and residents
Join an experienced team in providing comprehensive care for our most vulnerable population; with treatment of over 60 different disorders; including nerve, muscle and neuromuscular junction disorders such as Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, Spinal Muscular Atrophy and Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease at the pediatric neuromuscular clinic at Riley Hospital for Children. Indiana University School of Medicine is recognized as an ALS Association Certified Treatment Center of Excellence. Our clinic is the only Pediatric Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Care Center as well as the only Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy (PPMD) Certified Care Center.
Qualifications:
- Residency training in Neurology required
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neuromuscular Neurology or Neurophysiology *with EMG focus
- Eligible for licensure in Indiana
