Indiana University Health Medical Group has an exciting opportunity to be a part of Indiana University Health Medical Group in downtown Indianapolis, IN. We are seeking to add a Certified Nurse Midwife to our collaborative care team.
Position Details:
- Full Time-40 hours
- Rotating
- 2 days of clinic per week, rotating in-house 24-hour call
- Call Schedule
- 24 hour-in house call-rotating
- 50% Inpatient
- 50% Outpatient
Procedures:
- Patients seeking midwifery support, prenatal care and women's health healthcare
- Deliveries, LARC placement-IUD's, Nexplanon
- Pap Smears
Key Responsibilities:
- Midwifery services
- prenatal and post-natal care
- routine preventative gynecological care
- Contraception administration
- Water births
Qualifications:
- Certified Nurse Midwife by the AMCB
- Licensed or ability to be licensed in Indiana
- 1-2 years' experience preferred
- Previous midwifery practice experience in both clinic and hospital locations, academic setting and higher acuity patient experience are a plus.
IU Health and IU School of Medicine Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology physicians deliver at the Maternity Tower at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, IN. Opened in 2021, the tower has the accommodations to support traditional birth plans, and the experience of exceptionally and nationally ranked pediatric and adult specialists to care for high-risk pregnancies and babies with critical needs. The facility is designed so that pregnant patients and newborns have access to highly skilled care under the same roof. The Maternity Tower houses maternal fetal medicine specialists, midwifery services, an obstetrical intensive care unit (one of a handful in the nation), an obstetrical emergency unit and a level IV NICU.
