The Department of Pediatrics invites applications for a Primary Care Faculty position with a focused interest in Adolescent Medicine within the Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Health.
Clinical responsibilities will include providing comprehensive primary care and consultative services to patients ages 12-23. This includes well visits, acute/sick visits, complex follow-up care, and management of adolescent-specific conditions such as eating disorders, behavioral health concerns, sexual and reproductive health needs, and other adolescent risk behaviors.
Qualified candidates must hold an MD or DO degree and must be board certification or board eligibility through the American Board of Pediatrics in General Pediatrics and/or Adolescent Medicine.
The Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Health is committed to delivering exceptional clinical care, training the next generation of pediatricians, advancing research to improve the health of children and adolescents, and strengthening the well-being of our community. As the largest division within the Department of Pediatrics, we provide expert care at Duke Children?s Hospital & Health Center and affiliated clinical sites.
The Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Medicine section within the Division is closely integrated with the pediatric primary care team, offering strong opportunities for collaboration and support in caring for adolescents and young adults beyond the consultative care model. All our pediatricians are members of the faculty at the Duke University School of Medicine and are board-certified. The faculty and staff in the Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Health constantly work to improve our healthcare knowledge to provide our patients with state-of-the-art care.
