The Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks, in Fayetteville, AR, is seeking a full-time, board certified, Emergency Medicine Physician. We are fully committed to providing top quality medical care by serving and honoring America’s Veterans.
Emergency Department work hours will be rotating, variable hours consisting of variable length
shifts to meet 80 hours/2weeks. Additional hours may be scheduled by mutual agreement to
meet the clinical needs of the department.
Duties include provision of emergencies and urgent treatment to patients that have illnesses
within the scope of practice of Emergency Medicine, General Internal Medicine, and Family
Practice. Consulting services will be utilized as necessary. Some patent care visits may be
remote if physician is assigned to cover tele-EC duty.

Emergency Medicine Physicians must be qualified to diagnose, treat, stabilize, and manage
Emergency Department and Hospital patents according to standard, usual, and acceptable
methods, and techniques.
- U.S. Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
- All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment. Applicants who refuse to be tested will be denied employment with VA.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
