Indiana University Health Medical Group in partnership with Redcrest Hospice provides compassionate, family-centered care to those with life-limiting illnesses. We are looking for a physician leader to serve as Medical Director of Hospice services in a 39-county service area. This Physician will lead efforts across the system to establish standardized consistent work that meets clinical and regulatory requirements. IU Health Hospice has created a structure to provide on-site Physician leadership at the regional level while maintaining consistent high-quality work across the IU Health system.
Job Description:
- Work with hospice and homecare administration on system wide programs including pharmaceutical sourcing, employee engagement, team-building, and budget creation and management
- Oversight responsibility for 3 Physicians and 4 APP's
- Lead quality improvement efforts across the system
- Contractual relationships with all IU Health hospitals for in-patient level of hospice care
- Shared responsibility with other Hospice Medical staff for 4 regionals IDG's
Qualifications:
- BC Internal Medicine or Family Medicine required
- Hospice Medical Director experience preferred
- Fellowship trained in Hospice/Palliative Care preferred but not required
- Active licensure in Indiana is required
