Unit Overview
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive foot and ankle care in outpatient and inpatient settings, including surgery when indicated.
- Participate in diabetic foot management, wound care, and limb salvage initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with orthopaedics, endocrinology, infectious disease, and wound care teams.
- Provide clinical education to medical trainees and APPs.
- Participate in podiatric call coverage and quality initiatives within the department.
Short Description
Cooper University Health Care is seeking a board-certified or board-qualified Podiatrist to join our Orthopaedic and Podiatric Surgery Division. The ideal candidate will have clinical experience managing complex foot and ankle pathology, wound care, diabetic limb salvage, and forefoot/rearfoot surgery.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in South Jersey’s only Level I Trauma Center, providing care to a diverse patient population alongside orthopaedic surgeons, vascular surgeons, plastic surgeons, and wound care specialists.

Experience Required
Experience with hospital-based wound care or limb preservation is a plus.
Commitment to collaborative care and patient safety.
License/ Certification Requirements
- Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited school of podiatric medicine.
- Completion of a CPME-accredited podiatric residency (minimum 3 years).
- Board certified or eligible by ABPM or ABFAS.
- New Jersey medical license (or eligibility).
