The Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology/Oncology at the University of Virginia, seeks candidates for a tenure-eligible or tenure-ineligible clinical faculty position at the Assistant/Associate/Professor level, with a subspecialty focus on Sarcoma. Clinical Track and Tenure status are dependent upon qualifications.
The successful candidate will strengthen the clinical and clinical research efforts in Sarcoma oncology utilizing the excellent translational research opportunities and resources available at the University. Additionally, the incumbent will attend inpatient and outpatient services and participate in multidisciplinary team care and clinical research within the Cancer Center, for a growing number of patients with sarcoma and melanoma. As an integral part of the educational mission, the incumbent will actively participate in the teaching of fellows, residents, and medical students. This faculty position is designed for physicians focused on a career of clinical investigation and the provision of outstanding clinical care, including active participation in our educational mission.
Qualifications
Candidates must have an MD or equivalent and be board-certified in Internal Medicine by the appointment start date. Board-eligibility or Board-certification in Medical Oncology is required. Evidence of expertise in the care of patients with sarcoma is required.
